Position Description:
Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physicians Assistants (PA) works autonomously or in collaboration with other healthcare professionals to deliver primary, immediate and preventative care in a clinic setting. NP/PA scope ranges from health promotion and disease prevention to direct care and counseling across the lifespan including diagnosis and treatment of complex health conditions of the body and mind.
Position Available:
PRN (as needed): Availability as needed to help fill in for Medical Provider when on PTO, sick leave, etc.
An NP/PA duties and expectations include:
- Diagnosis of acute and chronic conditions
- Developing treatment plans for acute and chronic diseases
- Educating and guiding patients on disease prevention and healthy lifestyle habits
- Understanding the changes in health promotion throughout the aging process
- Conducting exams such as pap smears, sports physicals, annual wellness, workers compensation injuries and possibly DOT physicals
- Performing diagnostic tests and screening evaluations with or without CLIA tests
- Managing overall patient care regarding lifestyle and development issues
- Emphasizing preventative care and disease management
- Referrals to specialists as needed
- Prescribing and dispensing medications
- Administrative duties as needed to care for the patient
- EMR proficiency
- Ability to navigate Microsoft Office
- Virtual visits as needed or desirable
- Physical ability to make rounds in an office or factory setting
- Group health related presentation, promotions or clinics based on clients need
- Coordination of care with other providers when referring or accepting new family practice
- Other duties as assigned to meet the needs of the client
- Professionalism at all times
Education:
- MSN as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician’s Assistant in the State of Indiana required.
- DOT certification desirable but not required
- Experience working autonomously for at least one year, but willing to train the right person
Required License:
- Current Indiana State RN and APRN licenses or successful completion of the Physician Assistant National Certifying Exam (PANCE)
- Certification from a national certifying body (ANCC) or (NCCPA)
- Current prescriptive authority in the state of Indiana
Compensation based on experience
Schedule:
- As needed
- 8-hour shifts
- Day Shift
- Monday to Friday
- No Weekends
